Previous GDF events have supported worthy charities such as Polio Plus and the Children First Foundation, responsible for separating conjoined twins, Trishna and Krishna.

The 2010 charities being supported include Camcare, providing support for families under stress, Sacred Heart Mission, feeding the homeless, Breast Cancer Network, networking and informing women and men, the Alola Foundation who run support programs for the women of East Timor and Rotary medical and humanitarian projects.
